Vendor Setup Form  PDF View of Logistics Guide Dear Valued Trading Partner, Bob's Stores recognizes the value of strong vendor partnerships. We want our standards to be clear and easily followed. In keeping with this we have set requirements which are consistent with industry standards so that we minimize the number of "specials" for Bob's while allowing us to remain competitive with others. Our objectives of improving sales through high fill rates, reduced stock outs, improved inventory turnover, and minimizing supply chain costs will all occur through this type of clear communication with our vendor partners. We at Bob's have been focusing on Operational Excellence in our Stores and most recently in our Distribution Center. It's now time to make our vendors full partners in obtaining Operational Excellence. We see these Guidelines as a critical component of our supply chain management strategy. Significant changes and modifications to the Guidelines are highlighted in the introduction. Particular focus continues to be placed on the use of technology. To support this initiative it is imperative that our vendor partners comply with our EDI requirements. Please review the entire document carefully and share this information with those within your company who are involved with the order placement, replenishment and distribution process. One other area of focus is accuracy. Throughout these guidelines we ask that all documents, carton labels, EDI transmission, etc are accurate. We have found that one of the biggest distracters to the efficient processing of orders through our DC is poor accuracy. Our updated Vendor Guidelines can be found at www.bobstores.com/logistics.
