Lonsdale

Lonsdale has long been a favorite of the pros out in the ring – and also by the amateurs aspiring to be the next fighting champion. Started by former boxer Bernard Hart in the 1960s, Lonsdale takes its name from a key figure in the sport’s history: Hugh Cecil Lowther, 5th Earl of Lonsdale, who sponsored the first organized gloved match. This significance comes through the construction of Lonsdale’s gloves, protective gear, and gym equipment designed for boxing and mixed martial arts (MMA) training. As well, as far back as the 1970s, U.K. celebrities adopted the brand’s distinctive logo for casual purposes. Today, that fondness for quality everyday apparel still stands and has grown into a line of Lonsdale-branded, active-influenced tees, sweatshirts, and other athleisure basics.
